The Silva Injury Law Community Scholarship Fund

The Silva Injury Law Community Scholarship Fund is designed to support and empower high school seniors from Stanislaus County, Merced County, Monterey County, and San Luis Obispo County, aiding them in their journey toward higher education.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Silva Injury Law Community Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a high school senior attending a school in Stanislaus County, Merced County, Monterey County, or San Luis Obispo County.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrate financial need and a strong commitment to community service and involvement.
- Plan to enroll in an accredited college or university in the United States for the upcoming academic year.
Application Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following materials:
- A completed application form.
- An official high school transcript.
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or community leader.
- Demonstration of financial need.
- A 500-750 word essay responding to the prompt: “How have you positively impacted your community, and how has that experience influenced your future aspirations?”
Selection Process
A committee of professionals from Silva Injury Law will review applications. The recipients will be selected based on their academic achievements, community involvement, financial need, and the quality of their essays. The scholarship winners will be notified via email and announced on our website.
Award
The Silva Injury Law Community Scholarship Fund will select ten recipients annually to award a total of $20,000 in scholarship money. Five recipients will be selected bi-annually, once in June (Summer) and again in December (Winter). The funds will be distributed directly to the recipient’s educational institutions for tuition and educational expenses.
Deadline
Students may apply anytime throughout the year. Applications received before December 1st will be considered for the winter scholarships. Applications received after December 1st will be considered for the winter scholarships.
