Woodland, CA (August 25, 2025) – A bicyclist identified as Simona Palauni, 48, died Monday after a collision with a pickup truck in Woodland.
Accident Details: The crash happened around 3 p.m. in the area of East Main Street and Industrial Way. According to the Woodland Police Department, Palauni was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a pickup truck. No other vehicles were involved, and the bicycle ended up in the roadway after the impact. Palauni was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigation: The Woodland Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities closed the roadway temporarily while emergency crews responded. Factors under review include vehicle speed, visibility, and roadway conditions at the time of the collision.
