Village of Waukesha, WI (June 9, 2025) – A devastating crash involving three vehicles, including a semi-truck and a stopped car at an intersection, resulted in two fatalities Monday afternoon in the Village of Waukesha.
Incident Details: According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 164 and Lawnsdale Road. A semi-truck traveling northbound collided with a car attempting to cross the highway. The force of the impact pushed the car into a third vehicle that was stopped at the intersection. Tragically, two people in the second vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck and the individual in the stopped vehicle suffered minor injuries and received treatment on site.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash, including right-of-way and speed considerations. They will review traffic camera footage, assess vehicle conditions, and determine whether driver error or mechanical failure contributed to the incident.
