Two Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash into Pico-Union Business

Los Angeles, CA (August 14, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash late Thursday night sent two people to the hospital after several cars slammed into a restaurant supply business in the Pico-Union District.

Accident Details: The crash occurred just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. Responding officers found multiple vehicles had collided and crashed into the side of a business that also houses apartments above.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported two people to a hospital, though their conditions were not immediately known.

One of the vehicles involved was a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s K-9 patrol car. Authorities confirmed that both the deputy and the K-9 inside were not injured. It remains unclear why the patrol car was in the area at the time of the crash.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Investigators will work to determine the sequence of events that led to this crash. They will assess whether speeding, distraction, or failure to yield contributed to the accident. Physical evidence, surveillance video from nearby businesses, and witness statements will all be important in clarifying what happened.

I extend my thoughts to the two individuals injured in this collision and hope for their swift recovery.
