Todd Michael Bronold and Palmer Bronold Killed in Passenger Vehicle and Tanker Truck Collision on M-35 in Michigan

Update (September 7, 2025) — The victim who was pronounced dead at the scene was identified as 38-year-old Todd Michael Bronold. His 23-month-old daughter, Palmer Bronold, who was airlifted for medical treatment, later died from her injuries.

Menominee County, MI (August 6, 2025) — One person was killed and two others injured Wednesday morning in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a tanker truck on State Highway M-35 near Elmwood Road in Menominee Township.

Incident Details:  According to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Emergency responders arrived to find significant damage to both vehicles. One occupant of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was transported to a local hospital and later flown to Milwaukee for advanced medical treatment, while a third person was taken to a hospital for further evaluation. The identities of those involved are being withheld until family notifications are complete.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Deputies continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Key factors likely under review include right-of-way, speed, road conditions, and potential driver impairment or distraction. Investigators often examine driver logs, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance with federal trucking regulations in large commercial truck collisions.

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, injured survivors and the deceased’s family may have grounds to pursue wrongful death and personal injury claims for medical expenses, lost income, funeral costs, and other damages.

My deepest condolences go out to the family of the deceased, and my thoughts are with those recovering from their injuries.
