Accident Details: According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. and involved four vehicles. Two victims who were severely injured had to be extricated from their car by emergency responders and were later pronounced dead at the hospital. The remaining four individuals, including the suspected at-fault driver, were also hospitalized but are expected to survive.
An eyewitness account suggests the driver ran a red light before making a sudden turn and slamming into multiple vehicles. One witness claimed that the at-fault driver attempted to flee the scene, leaving his injured passenger behind, before being apprehended by police.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and is under investigation for possible driving under the influence. His name has not yet been released to the public.

This review could include traffic camera footage, witness statements, physical evidence from the scene, and toxicology reports to confirm whether the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.
Depending on the investigation’s findings, the families of the two men who were killed may be able to file wrongful death lawsuits. The injured survivors may also have the right to pursue personal injury claims.
