South Lake Tahoe, CA (June 7, 2025) – A tragic e-bike collision in South Lake Tahoe claimed the life of a 13-year-old girl after she was struck by a car and later died from her injuries, authorities confirmed.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Sawmill Road. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Adam Renk, the impact of the crash propelled the girl into the air before she landed on a snow-paddle marker. She was initially revived at the scene and transported to Barton Memorial Hospital. Despite efforts to save her, she was later pronounced dead just before 3:00 p.m. at Renown Regional Medical Center.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The driver involved, a 56-year-old woman, remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. CHP is asking anyone with information related to the case to contact Officer Renk at (530) 539-950. No arrests or citations have been announced as of now.
