3 Killed in Crash Involving Fleeing Motorcyclist in Southern California

South Gate, CA (June 10, 2025) – A high-speed police pursuit ended in tragedy Tuesday night when a fleeing motorcyclist crashed into a vehicle in South Gate, killing himself and two people in the other car, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Incident Details: The crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of Firestone Boulevard and San Juan Avenue. Authorities said the motorcyclist, who had refused to stop for Huntington Park police, was traveling at high speed when he collided with a Toyota sedan carrying two people. All three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP is leading the investigation and has not released the names of the victims. It remains unclear what initially prompted the police to attempt to stop the motorcyclist. Officials are reviewing surveillance footage and body cam video as part of the ongoing inquiry.
