East Los Angeles, CA (June 1, 2025) — A multi-vehicle crash involving five cars sent six people to the hospital early Sunday morning on the 10 Freeway near Boyle Heights, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Incident Details: The collision occurred around 5:01 a.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway, just east of the 5 Freeway interchange. Emergency responders arrived to find five vehicles involved and multiple injured individuals. Six people were transported to local hospitals, two of whom were reported to be in serious condition—the remaining four sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation. Authorities will examine whether any drivers were speeding or distracted and whether poor visibility or unsafe lane changes played a role.
