Fallbrook, CA (June 12, 2025) — A rollover crash involving a San Diego County Park Ranger vehicle and a second pickup truck led to hospitalizations Thursday evening on East Mission Road near Old Highway 395. Authorities believe DUI may have been a factor in the collision.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 7:22 p.m. when two pickup trucks collided, causing one to overturn and rest off the road’s right-hand side. One of the trucks was identified as a San Diego County Park Ranger unit. According to witnesses at the scene, the other vehicle, a black pickup truck, was carrying a rifle and showed signs of being involved in a DUI-related crash.
Emergency crews arrived to find all occupants out of the vehicles. One or two individuals, believed to include the park ranger and the driver of the black truck, were transported to the hospital. The exact extent of their injuries has not been released.
Law enforcement, including San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies, responded under an “assist other agency” call, providing support to either the California Highway Patrol or park rangers.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The collision remains under investigation. Authorities will likely review surveillance footage, vehicle debris, or eyewitness testimony.
Pending the outcome of the investigation, the injured party may be able to pursue a personal injury claim to compensate for medical treatment, pain and suffering, and other damages.
