Riverside, CA (April 16, 2025) – One person was killed and six others were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision in Riverside early Tuesday evening.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Stover Avenue. According to the Riverside Police Department, a white SUV was speeding westbound on Arlington when it collided with multiple vehicles stopped at a red light. Authorities confirmed that a male occupant of one of the impacted vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. Six other individuals, including at least one child, were transported to local hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Police are investigating whether speed or impairment played a role in the crash. The driver of the SUV, who was among those hospitalized, is being evaluated for possible charges. Investigators are also examining vehicle data and witness statements to reconstruct the sequence of events.
