Riverside, OH (May 26, 2025) – A 59-year-old man is in life-threatening condition following a crash between a motorcycle and a tanker truck Monday afternoon in the Riverside neighborhood of Cincinnati, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
Accident Details: The collision occurred on River Road (U.S. Route 50) near Anderson Ferry Road. Police say a 2024 Kenworth tractor-trailer was heading east when it attempted a left turn and was struck by a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction.
The motorcycle rider, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries and was transported to UC Medical Center. Authorities say his injuries are life-threatening. The driver of the tanker truck was not hurt.
Legal Considerations: Investigators are evaluating both speed and possible impairment as contributing factors. In crashes involving commercial vehicles, responsibility can extend beyond the driver to the trucking company or other third parties.
