Santa Paula, CA (March 14, 2024) – A devastating traffic collision on a Thursday evening at the intersection of Peck Road and Santa Paula Street resulted in the death of a local motorcyclist. The Santa Paula Police Department identified the victim as 29-year-old Richard Cisneros, a resident of Santa Paula.
Incident Overview: The collision occurred around 6:20 p.m. on March 14, 2024, involving Cisneros on his motorcycle and a pickup truck. After the immediate response from Santa Paula Police, Ventura County Fire Department, and ambulance services, Cisneros was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later passed away.
Investigation Details and Analysis: Preliminary investigations reveal that Cisneros was traveling westbound on Santa Paula Street, while the pickup truck was heading southbound on Peck Road. The two vehicles collided within the intersection. The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries and there is no information on which vehicle had the right of way. Depending on the circumstances of the crash, Cisneros’ family may be able to file a wrongful death claim for their loss.
