Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Truck After Exiting Ambulance in Greenville

Greenville, MO (June 9, 2025) – A tragic incident unfolded in Greenville, Missouri, on Sunday night when a pedestrian was fatally struck by a truck after reportedly leaving an ambulance.

Incident Details: According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 10:15 p.m. on US Highway 67. Authorities say a 41-year-old man from Ironton had been involved in a previous incident and was being treated in an ambulance when he unexpectedly exited the vehicle. While attempting to cross the highway, he was struck by a northbound 2021 Dodge Ram. Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was uninjured and remained at the scene.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the pedestrian’s decision to leave the ambulance.
