Carson, CA (August 6, 2025) — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in the city of Carson, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Incident Details: The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. on August 6 at the intersection of South Santa Fe Avenue and Del Amo Boulevard. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene just 13 minutes later. As of this writing, authorities have not released the victim’s identity or further details about the driver involved.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The ongoing investigation will likely focus on right-of-way, speed, lighting, and driver attentiveness. The early morning hour suggests that visibility and roadway lighting could be significant factors. Investigators will also probably examine if the pedestrian used a marked crosswalk and if the driver was speeding, distracted, or impaired by collecting surveillance footage, vehicle data, and witness testimony.
Pending the outcome of the investigation, the victim’s family may have grounds for a wrongful death claim. This claim compensates the family for expenses related to losing their loved one, including funeral costs, loss of companionship, and lost income.
We extend our sincere condolences to the loved ones of Kristle White.
