Merced, CA (May 19, 2025) – A motorcyclist died Sunday evening after colliding with another vehicle in Merced, according to local authorities.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of V Street and West 18th Street. Merced police say the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on V Street when a Nissan sedan made a left turn in front of the bike. The motorcyclist collided with the car and was ejected from the motorcycle. Despite lifesaving efforts, the rider died at the scene. The driver of the Nissan remained on site and cooperated with investigators.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Merced police continue to investigate the crash. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of family. It is currently unknown whether alcohol, drugs, or speed were factors in the collision.
