MCLEOD COUNTY, Minn. — A man was killed and a child injured in a crash involving a semi-truck Sunday morning. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision happened just before 8 a.m. on Highway 212 in Collins Township.
Incident details show that 60-year-old Halvorson Kenneth was traveling westbound in a sedan when he collided with a semi-truck going eastbound. Kenneth died at the scene. Four people were inside the semi: a 39-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman, a 7-year-old boy, and a 5-year-old girl. The 5-year-old girl was injured and taken to a nearby hospital but is expected to recover.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by the Minnesota State Patrol.
