Morrill County, NE (April 29, 2025) – A tragic crash involving a semi-truck claimed the life of 27-year-old Maverick Miller, a Bridgeport resident, in Morrill County on Monday afternoon.
Incident Details: According to the Nebraska State Patrol, the collision occurred around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 385 and County Road L. Miller was driving a Ford Focus eastbound when his vehicle collided with a northbound semi-truck. Authorities reported that Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Nebraska State Patrol continues to investigate the crash to determine the contributing factors, including right-of-way issues and driver speed. Toxicology tests and witness statements will also be reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. No citations or arrests have been reported at this time.
