Semi-Truck Accident on I-75 in Macon Injures One Driver

Macon, GA (August 8, 2025) — A Friday morning crash involving two semi-trucks on Interstate 75 in Macon left one driver injured and caused significant traffic delays, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Incident Details: Authorities say the crash happened around 6 a.m. just past Sardis Church Road when a moving semi-truck collided with the trailer of a parked semi on the right side of the roadway. The impact injured one driver, who was transported to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment. Multiple southbound lanes were blocked for several hours, with traffic being redirected until one lane reopened later in the morning.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances of the collision, including whether the parked semi-truck was properly marked and visible to traffic. In truck accidents involving injuries, those affected may be able to pursue claims for medical costs, lost wages, and other damages.

I wish the injured driver a full and speedy recovery.
