Driver Killed in Lincoln Tractor-Trailer Crash

Lincoln, California (September 8, 2025) — One person was killed Monday morning in a crash involving a tractor-trailer near the entrance to the Sterling Pointe shopping center in Lincoln, according to police.

Incident Details: The Lincoln Police Department said officers responded just after 10 a.m. to a collision on Lincoln Boulevard. The crash involved an SUV and a fully loaded tractor-trailer. The SUV sustained major front-end damage, requiring extensive extrication efforts. Despite rescue attempts, the SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured. Northbound Lincoln Boulevard was closed for approximately two hours while crews worked at the scene.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision. Investigators will examine whether driver error, road conditions, or mechanical issues played a role in the deadly crash. In fatal tractor-trailer crashes, civil claims may be filed by surviving family members to seek compensation for funeral expenses, lost financial support, and emotional damages. Liability may extend to both the truck driver and the trucking company, depending on the findings.

I extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the driver killed in this Lincoln crash.
