One Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Cement Truck Crash in Lehi

Lehi, UT (May 23, 2025) – A serious crash involving a cement truck and multiple vehicles injured one person Friday morning near the intersection of Mill Pond Road and Pioneer Crossing, according to Lehi Police.

Accident Details: The crash occurred around 11:45 a.m. when a cement truck reportedly struck a diesel vehicle, which was then pushed into an oncoming SUV. The SUV driver sustained serious but stable injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities shut down northbound Mill Pond Road as emergency crews from Lehi Fire and Utah Highway Patrol responded and cleared the scene. Police advised drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Legal Considerations: In chain-reaction crashes involving large commercial vehicles like cement trucks, investigators typically examine braking distance, vehicle weight, driver awareness, and road conditions. The injured SUV driver may be entitled to pursue a personal injury claim if the cement truck’s driver or operator is found responsible for initiating the collision.

Ongoing Investigation: Lehi Police and Utah Highway Patrol continue to investigate the cause of the crash. No citations or charges have been announced as of Friday afternoon.

I hope the injured individual makes a full and timely recovery.
