Chula Vista, CA (July 29, 2025) – A landscaper working along a Chula Vista street was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning.
Accident Details: According to Chula Vista Police, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Shasta Street and Minot Avenue. A vehicle veered off the road and hit the worker, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities are examining what led to the driver veering into the landscaping area. Investigators will assess road conditions, distraction, and driver behavior. The victim’s family may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim, especially in cases involving roadway negligence.
