Wilmington, CA (April 11, 2024) – A devastating hit-and-run incident resulted in the death of a 28-year-old bicyclist Junior Valle, who was struck by a vehicle in Wilmington. The tragic event occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Wilmington Boulevard at the intersection with G Street.
Incident Overview: Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the scene where they found Valle mortally wounded near his bicycle. Despite efforts to obtain aid, Valle died at the scene due to his injuries. The driver involved did not stop to provide assistance and fled in an unknown direction, with no immediate description of the vehicle provided.
Investigation and Legal Implications: The investigation is currently being handled by the LAPD. They are currently searching for potential witnesses of the accident in hopes of getting a lead on the suspected vehicle involved. If they happen to find and apprehend the driver responsible, the family of Valle may be able to pursue a wrongful death claim for their loss.
