Ramirez was traveling on a Ninebot electric scooter along South 10th Street when he collided with a Tesla Model Y. The Tesla was turning onto South 10th Street from Elizabeth Street at the time. The impact caused Ramirez to fall off the scooter and onto the roadway, where he was struck by a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Both drivers remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Emergency services transported Ramirez to a local hospital, where he was initially stabilized before succumbing to his injuries on May 2.
