Lakeside, CA (May 19, 2025) – Jordan Norman, a 31-year-old San Marcos resident, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning in Lakeside.
Incident Details: Norman was traveling north on State Route 67 around 1 a.m. when the driver of a 1998 Mitsubishi SUV made an illegal left turn against a red light at Willow Road, cutting directly into the path of his motorcycle. The collision inflicted severe blunt-force trauma, and Norman died at the scene. After the impact, the SUV struck a street-light pole, and the driver fled on foot, abandoning the vehicle.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities are continuing the investigation. As of this report, the California Highway Patrol has not confirmed whether a suspect has been identified or apprehended in the fatal hit-and-run.
