Ventura, CA (June 12, 2025) — Authorities have identified the woman fatally struck by a vehicle during a two-car collision Thursday evening as 35-year-old Jasmineliney C. Rosales of Ventura.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 8:55 p.m. near the intersection of Olivas Park Drive and Seaborg Avenue. According to the Ventura Police Department, Rosales was walking nearby when a two-vehicle traffic collision occurred behind her. One of the vehicles struck her in the aftermath. She was transported to Ventura County Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead from multiple blunt-force injuries.
Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. One driver sustained a minor head injury and was also taken to the hospital.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: While police have not publicly identified the cause of the initial collision, the investigation is ongoing. A critical line of inquiry will be whether driver conduct, such as speeding, running a light, or failing to yield, played a role in the crash. Investigators will likely review crash data, surveillance footage, and road conditions to determine the cause of the collision.
Pending the outcome of the investigation, Rosales’ family may have grounds for a wrongful death claim to seek damages for funeral costs, lost support, and emotional suffering. The injured driver may be able to file a personal injury claim to assist with medical costs, replace lost wages, or repair their vehicle.
My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Jasmineliney Rosales during this heartbreaking time.
