West Los Angeles, CA (August 5, 2025) — A homeless man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a hit-and-run crash beneath the 10 Freeway on S. Bundy Drive. Los Angeles police detained four individuals shortly after the incident.
Incident Details: According to the LAPD, the fatal collision occurred around 2:10 p.m. when the driver of a vehicle struck the pedestrian under the freeway overpass and fled the scene. Witnesses reported that the occupants exited the vehicle and transferred to a second car. Thanks to alert bystanders, police were able to locate and detain the drivers of both cars and two passengers near Bundy and Ocean Park Boulevard.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The ongoing LAPD investigation aims to determine contributing factors to the collision, including driver behavior, road conditions, impairment, or mechanical failure. As part of this process, authorities will gather witness statements and secure surveillance footage.
