Eight People Injured in Fresno County SUV and Pickup Truck Crash

Fresno County, California (September 8, 2025) — Eight people were injured Monday morning in a crash near Orosi involving an SUV and a large pickup truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Incident Details: The crash occurred around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Hills Valley Road and Floral Avenue, located between Fresno and Tulare Counties. CHP said a red SUV traveling on Floral Avenue failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection, where it was struck by a northbound pickup truck on Hills Valley Road. The force of the impact caused the SUV to overturn onto its roof. Eight occupants of the SUV suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious. One person was airlifted to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP is investigating what led to the collision. Factors under review include the SUV driver’s failure to stop, visibility at the intersection, and whether speed contributed. Multi-passenger crashes often result in multiple claims for medical costs, lost income, and pain and suffering. Liability may rest with the SUV driver for failing to yield, though investigators will determine the full circumstances.

My thoughts are with all eight people injured in this Fresno County crash, and I wish them a full recovery.
