Fresno County, CA (August 26, 2025) – A man was killed Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Belmont Avenue near Kerman, west of Fresno.
Accident Details: The California Highway Patrol responded around 5 p.m. to the intersection of Goldenrod and Belmont avenues. Officers found two vehicles in a field northwest of the intersection. One driver was unresponsive and transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. His age and identity have not yet been released.
According to investigators, the man had been driving north on Goldenrod Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Belmont. His vehicle entered the intersection and was struck on the passenger side by a Toyota Tundra. The driver of the Tundra suffered minor injuries.
Investigation: CHP stated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation as authorities review traffic control compliance, speed, and roadway conditions.
