Cathedral City, CA (July 10, 2025) – Two men were killed and four others injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig on Interstate 10 in Cathedral City.
Accident Details: According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. near Date Palm Drive. A semi truck collided with multiple vehicles, including one carrying six passengers. Two of the occupants, Francisco Sicairos Leon and Miguel Macias, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Four other people were hospitalized with various injuries.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Investigators will examine truck speed, braking distance, traffic conditions, and vehicle spacing. Families of the deceased may have the right to pursue wrongful death claims, and the injured passengers may also have grounds for civil recovery.
