Four Friends Killed by Suspected DUI Driver in Orange County Crash

Orange County, CA (July 27, 2025) – A suspected drunk driver rear-ended a vehicle on the 241 toll road early Sunday, killing four young adults in a fiery crash.

Accident Details: The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Mission Viejo when a white Infiniti sedan, traveling at high speed, struck the victims’ car from behind. The impact caused the car to spin out and catch fire. All four people inside died at the scene.

California Highway Patrol reported that the Infiniti driver remained on scene and was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP continues to investigate the events leading up to the deadly crash. Investigators will review toxicology reports, video surveillance, and event data recorders. DUI collisions involving fatalities often result in both criminal charges and civil liability. The families of the victims may be eligible to pursue wrongful death claims against the driver.

I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the families mourning these four young lives.
