Manhunt Underway After Fatal Crash and Reported Kidnapping in Southern California

Fontana, CA (October 6, 2025) – Police are searching for a suspect following a fatal crash and reported kidnapping outside a Fontana business Monday morning, according to KTLA News.

Accident Details: The incident occurred near Sierra Avenue and Randall Avenue, where officers were called to a collision involving a pickup truck. When police arrived, they discovered a woman dead inside the vehicle and evidence suggesting a kidnapping had occurred before the crash. The suspect fled the area on foot. Witnesses reported seeing the man running from the scene moments after impact. Authorities have not yet released the woman’s identity.

Investigation: Fontana Police Department detectives and homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to both the kidnapping and the deadly crash. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses in the area. As of Monday evening, a manhunt was still underway, and police have not disclosed the relationship between the suspect and the victim.

Legal Considerations: Cases involving both a violent crime and a fatal collision can lead to multiple criminal charges, including homicide and kidnapping. In such cases, investigators will collect physical evidence, witness statements, and digital data to establish the sequence of events and potential motive. The victim’s family may also have grounds to pursue civil action related to wrongful death once the criminal case concludes.

This was a deeply tragic event for the Fontana community. I offer my condolences to the loved ones of the woman killed in this horrific incident.
