Los Angeles, CA (May 11, 2025) — A woman in her 50s or 60s was struck and killed early Sunday morning while crossing the street in South Los Angeles, according to local authorities.
Incident Details: The fatal collision occurred around 4:15 a.m. in the 1300 block of East Vernon Avenue. Police say the woman was crossing the street when an eastbound vehicle struck her. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
