Brentwood, CA (May 22, 2025) – Two people were killed early Wednesday morning in a fiery crash that shut down all lanes of westbound Highway 4 in Brentwood.
Incident Details: According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred around 4:20 a.m. near Sand Creek Road. A silver Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Highway 4 when, for reasons still under investigation, it collided with a white Ford F-150. Both vehicles caught fire upon impact. The two people inside the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP officers are working to determine what led to the deadly crash, including whether speed, impairment, or mechanical issues may have played a role. Westbound lanes were closed for several hours for investigation and cleanup before reopening just after 9 a.m.
