Southlake, Texas (January 10, 2026) — A tragic early-morning sequence of events on State Highway 114 in Southlake claimed the life of Trevon Anthony Davis, a 25-year-old man who was struck and killed by a semi-truck while attempting to cross the highway following an earlier crash, according to the Southlake Department of Public Safety and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Incident Details: The fatal collision occurred just before 4:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the 1100 block of East State Highway 114. Authorities said Davis had been involved in a separate, single-vehicle crash in the same area only minutes earlier. After that initial incident, Davis was on foot and attempted to cross the westbound lanes of the highway.
While crossing, Davis was struck by a semi-truck traveling westbound. Emergency responders from Southlake Police and Fire arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead there. The driver of the semi-truck remained at the location and is cooperating with investigators. No injuries to the truck driver were reported.
Westbound lanes of Highway 114 were temporarily closed as officers investigated the crash and cleared the roadway. All lanes were later reopened once the on-scene investigation was completed.
