Georgetown, TX (June 24, 2025) – A tanker truck driver was injured Tuesday afternoon after the vehicle flipped on the SH‑130 flyover at Interstate 35 in Georgetown, causing major traffic delays and damaging the concrete barrier.

Incident Details: The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on the northbound SH‑130 flyover, where a tanker truck overturned and came to rest on its side. Emergency crews responded quickly and transported the driver to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not yet released the driver’s name or condition, but he is expected to survive.

Dramatic images from the scene show the overturned tanker and a heavily damaged section of the concrete barrier. Officials shut down the flyover ramp for several hours to investigate and clear the wreckage.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Georgetown Police and Texas DPS are investigating the cause of the crash. Investigators will examine factors such as vehicle speed, mechanical failure, and roadway conditions. Officials have not confirmed whether any other vehicles were involved.
