South Jordan, UT (April 25, 2025) – A tragic accident involving a semi-truck and a pickup on Redwood Road in South Jordan claimed the life of the pickup truck driver on Thursday evening.
Incident Details: Just before 6:40 p.m. on April 25, a semi-truck traveling north on Redwood Road struck a pickup truck that was making a left turn from 9800 South. The impact was severe, critically injuring the driver of the pickup, who later succumbed to their injuries. The semi-truck driver was unharmed.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The South Valley Crash Team, which includes officers from South Jordan, Herriman, and Riverton, is actively investigating the cause of the crash. Key questions include right-of-way issues, visibility at the intersection, and whether traffic signals or signage played a role.
