Phillips, WI (August 28, 2025) – Two people were killed Thursday morning in a crash involving a pickup truck and a semi-truck in Price County.
Accident Details: According to the Price County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 13 and State Highway 111 in the Town of Worcester, just south of Phillips. The crash involved three people in a pickup truck and the driver of a semi-truck. Two occupants of the pickup truck were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released. The semi-truck driver was not reported to be injured.
Investigation: Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. The Price County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing roadway conditions, driver actions, and other potential contributing factors. Southbound drivers were temporarily detoured along alternate routes while the highway remained closed. The road was reopened later in the day.
