Nacogdoches, TX (April 25, 2025) – Multiple pedestrians were injured Friday afternoon after a semi-truck struck a taco truck in Nacogdoches.
Incident Details: The crash happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of South Street and Austin Street. According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, a semi-truck veered off the roadway and crashed into a taco truck where several pedestrians were gathered. Authorities confirmed that three people sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals. Their current conditions have not been released. The driver of the semi remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Police are investigating the factors that led to the semi-truck leaving the roadway, including possible mechanical failure, driver impairment, or distraction. Authorities have not yet determined if citations or charges will be filed.
