Sonoma County, CA (November 15, 2024) – On Friday, November 15, 2024, 87-year-old Richard Ebert suffered severe injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run crash on Leveroni Road near Fryer Creek Drive outside Sonoma
Accident Details: Ebert had reportedly wandered from his home about half a mile from the crash site when he was struck. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that Timothy Drury, 63, allegedly drove the silver Volkswagen Tiguan that hit Ebert. He later turned himself into the Sonoma Police Department and was arrested by the CHP.
The incident occurred on a poorly lit section of road without significant signage, a factor his family believes contributed to the tragic event. Ebert was transported to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, where he remains in serious condition with multiple critical injuries, including fractures to his hip, femur, and ribs.
