Blythe, CA (August 1, 2025) — A person was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday morning on eastbound Interstate 10 near Wiley’s Well Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Incident Details: The collision was reported at approximately 11:18 a.m. Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the individual dead shortly before noon. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or provided details on whether the person was a pedestrian on foot, a stranded motorist, or otherwise in the roadway at the time of impact. The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Investigations are ongoing to determine why the victim was on the interstate. Authorities are also examining the involved driver’s speed and actions, and whether environmental factors like visibility or roadway conditions contributed to the incident.
