Placentia, CA (March 20, 2025) – One person was killed early Thursday morning in a crash involving two vehicles on the northbound side of the 57 Freeway at Orangethorpe Avenue.
Incident Details:
The crash occurred at approximately 4:05 a.m. and involved a white van and a white work truck. At least one of the vehicles overturned and landed on its roof, according to the California Highway Patrol. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. All lanes were reopened by 6:10 a.m.

Authorities will likely investigate whether speeding, driver fatigue, or improper lane changes contributed to the crash.
