STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (June 24, 2025) – One person was killed and two others were injured Tuesday evening in a head-on crash on East Keyes Road near Jennings Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. when the driver of a westbound Honda Civic crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people in the Toyota were transported to a nearby hospital with moderate to major injuries.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP officers are still working to determine what caused the Honda to cross into oncoming traffic. Investigators are examining road evidence and vehicle damage and have not yet confirmed whether speed, distraction, or impairment played a role.
