Owatonna, MN (July 26, 2025) – A crash involving a semi truck and a passenger vehicle resulted in one fatality Saturday morning on Highway 14 near Owatonna.
Accident Details: The crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. when a semi truck traveling eastbound collided with a Buick sedan that had entered the highway from a stop sign. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the sedan was struck on the driver’s side. The 68-year-old driver of the Buick was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi truck driver was not injured.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities are examining whether failure to yield or visibility played a role in the crash. Investigators will also review road conditions, signage, and dashcam footage. Depending on fault, surviving family members may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim.
