Dos agentes heridos al chocar un semirremolque durante un control de tráfico en la I-95 en el condado de Prince William

Prince William County, VA (June 9, 2025) – Two police officers were injured Monday morning after a semi-truck slammed into their cruisers during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 near Dumfries, causing major traffic delays.

Incident Details: According to local authorities, the crash occurred around 9:50 a.m. on the northbound lanes of I-95. While assisting with a disabled vehicle, two Prince William County police officers were inside their parked patrol vehicles when a semi-truck crashed into them. The impact caused significant damage to the cruisers and sent both officers to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Virginia State Police are leading the investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that road conditions and driver attentiveness will be central to the inquiry. Authorities are working to determine whether the semi-truck driver was speeding, distracted, or otherwise impaired at the time of the crash. No citations or charges have been announced at this time.

We extend our sincere wishes for a full and swift recovery to the injured officers.
