Antelope Valley, CA (March 15, 2025) – A motorcyclist identified only as Peter remains in critical condition weeks after a hit-and-run crash involving two minibikes on Elizabeth Lake Road near San Francisquito Canyon Road. Authorities are still searching for the suspects responsible.
Incident Details: According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on February 23 at approximately 3:35 p.m. when two minibikes traveling in the opposite lane collided with Peter’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Both minibike riders fled the scene, leaving Peter with severe injuries. He was transported to a hospital, where he remains in a coma.
Peter’s girlfriend described him as a beloved father and community leader who dresses as Santa Claus each year to bring joy to his church. She and other loved ones are demanding justice, as authorities continue investigating.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Hit-and-run crashes create significant legal challenges, especially when reckless driving is involved. Investigators will likely review surveillance footage, witness statements, and prior reports of minibike activity in the area. If the responsible riders are identified, Peter’s family may have grounds for a personal injury claim to recover damages for medical expenses and long-term care.
I hope for Peter’s full recovery and that those responsible are brought to justice.
