Paradise Township, PA (March 20, 2025) – A 61-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on Route 30 near the North Lake Road intersection in Paradise Township.
Incident Details: The crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. when the victim’s vehicle reportedly drifted across the double yellow line into the opposing lane, where it collided head-on with an oncoming tractor-trailer. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released, and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities will likely assess whether fatigue, distraction, or a medical emergency contributed to the victim crossing into the opposing lane. Investigators may also review whether the roadway design or signage played any role.
