Taft, CA (February 19th, 2025) – Last week, at approximately 5:22 p.m., a devastating collision occurred on Cadet Road, just east of Petroleum Club Road, in Taft, California. According to the California Highway Patrol, Kristen Meckler was riding a motorbike when she was struck by a vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. The events leading up to the crash are still under investigation and it’s unclear if the driver involved stayed after the crash.
