Motorcyclist Jerry Bradley Identified as Man Who Died from Injuries Sustained in Crash with Car in Indio, CA

Indio, CA (January 11, 2026) – The Riverside County coroner’s office identified Jerry Bradley, 62, as the motorcyclist who died from his injuries after colliding with a vehicle in Indio on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Incident Details: According to the Indio Police Department, the crash took place around 4:10 p.m. on Sunday. The location of the collision was at the intersection of Calhoun Street and Avenue 42.

Bradley was riding a motorcycle, and a 20-year-old man driving a Honda sedan crashed into the motorcycle. Further details of how the collision occurred are not yet available.

Bradley sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Honda cooperated with investigators at the scene. Police indicated that drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision.

Investigation: The Indio Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash at Calhoun Street and Avenue 42 that led to the death of motorcyclist Jerry Bradley. Investigators will examine the circumstances of the collision between the motorcycle and Honda sedan, including which driver had the right of way and whether speed, visibility, or driver inattention contributed to the incident.

Authorities are expected to review physical evidence from the scene, vehicle damage, and witness statements to reconstruct the moments leading up to impact. Even though drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors, and the Honda driver cooperated, investigators will still work to determine whether any traffic violations or unsafe driving decisions contributed to the collision.

Legal Considerations: Motorcycle crashes often involve questions of driver negligence, especially at intersections where turning movements and right-of-way disputes are common. If the investigation finds the Honda driver failed to yield, misjudged distance, or otherwise drove carelessly, civil liability may apply.

For Bradley’s loved ones, this loss is heartbreaking. If the other driver is found to be at fault, a wrongful death claim may help surviving family members seek compensation for medical costs, funeral expenses, and the loss of companionship and support caused by this tragedy.

My thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Jerry Bradley as they mourn this devastating loss.
