Clay County, Missouri (September 9, 2025) — A 41-year-old woman from Hale was injured Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer in Clay County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Incident Details: The crash occurred at 11:39 a.m. on Highway 210 at Bluff Road. Investigators said a 2024 Peterbilt was backing out of a private drive when its trailer extended into the westbound lane. A 2017 Ram slowed and began to pass, followed by a 2015 Audi that lost control and struck the rear of the Ram. The Audi stopped in the roadway, where it was then hit on the passenger side by the Peterbilt, which did not see it.
The driver of the Audi, a 36-year-old woman from Excelsior Springs, was not injured. The Ram’s driver, a 53-year-old man from Des Moines, was also unhurt. However, a 41-year-old female passenger from Hale in the Ram sustained minor injuries. She was transported by Liberty EMS to Liberty Hospital for treatment. The Audi was towed due to extensive damage, while the Ram and the Peterbilt were able to leave the scene.
